Round 4 of the 2011 Formula DRIFT Championship Series took place this past weekend in Wall, NJ at Wall Speedway.  A vicious storm had rolled into town a few days before the event, but had passed through just in time for the much-anticipated drifting event.  Due to the storm, Daijiro Yoshihara and his team, Falken Tire / Discount Tire, were left with little practice time to have his V8 powered Nissan 240SX on KW Suspension setup perfectly for the event.

Long Beach, Calif. – April 10, 2011 – Justin Pawlak in the Falken Tire Ford Mustang earns the victory at the first event of the 2011 Formula DRIFT season. Matt Powers in the Need for Speed, KW Suspension Nissan S14 takes second place with Daijiro Yoshihara in his KW Supported Discount Tire / Falken Nissan S13 rounding out the podium in third place.

Finding the best bang for the buck this day and age can be hard, in terms of performance, comfort, and functionality. However, George Ciordas, and his 2008 militant flat green BMW 335i has hit everything right on the money. Believe it or not, build time only took two months to finish, being a man of many talents,  George was able to make some phone calls to get the ride finished in a hurry for its debut for the recent 2010 SEMA show in Las Vegas. But that’s beside the point…  Let’s get to the center of that soft nougat filling.

This past weekend at the Toyota Speedway, in Irwindale, CA, was the first Ken Block Gymkhana Invitational, which hosted a slew of drivers from a variety of auto racing disciplines.  Professional drivers of Drift, Time Attack, Road Racing, and Rally were invited to compete this past weekend to see who would be the fastest driver in two separate classes, AWD and RWD.

Antonio Alvendia and the crew at Motor Mavens put together the Mass Appeal Event during the Ken Block Invitational Gymkhana Grid.
