Curt Wilson’s Santorini Blue BMW M3 (11/08/2013):
If you’ve been following our SEMA coverage this week you’ll have noticed some pretty wild cars on display at the Las Vegas Convention Centre. SEMA is all about pushing the boundaries and creating bespoke demo vehicles to draw attention, but not every car on display has to follow the ‘traditional’ philosophy to draw equal amounts of attention.
One of the best examples of this is Curt Wilson’s Santorini Blue BMW M3 Coupe spotted in the outside arena. It’s by no means stock, but Curt’s choice of key modifications has transformed this M3 into a genuine show-stopper which can also be enjoyed on a daily basis be it at the track or on the road.
The striking Santorini Blue paintwork is in fact a standard BMW colour, and matched with a Mode Carbon GTS V1 lip spoiler, LM series rear diffusor and GTS wing it looks much more aggressive and race-ready compared to the stock M3.
Chassis wise Curt is running our excellent Variant 3 coilover system – undoubtedly the best suspension solution for those who want to drastically improve their car’s handling without adversely effecting its drivability on the road.
Look a bit closer and you’ll see a set of monster 380mm (front) and 355mm (rear) Stoptech brakes lurking behind 19in Rohana wheels. This is one BMW with the stopping and handling power to easily match its 400+bhp V8 engine up front!
We absolutely love the approach Curt has taken to such a highly respected model such as the M3. So when can we have a drive…?

High Speed Racing in the Desert at Shift S3ctor (Oct/07/2013):
This weekend the third Shift S3ector Airstrip Attack event was held at the Municipal Airport in Coalinga California. These events are becoming more and more popular as it gives the high horsepower street cars and chance to stretch their legs in a safe enviroment. Many cars were on hand to put the pedal down and give the mile long airstrip turned track a go.
Cars have horsepower numbers written on the windows and MPH displays at the end of the mile keep everyone informed about each run. All in all it is a great way to see cars that you normally see tooling through affluent neighborhood actually doing what they were designed to do, GO FAST!
